Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing UK tax compliance with support from senior team members
  • Prepare and review UK tax returns, identifying issues and ensuring accuracy
  • Support senior colleagues on more complex tax compliance and advisory matters
  • Assist in supervising junior staff, reviewing straightforward work and monitoring deadlines
  • Manage workflow effectively across a varied client portfolio
  • Prepare advisory work for individuals and assist on planning projects
  • Develop strong client relationships and respond to client queries professionally
  • Liaise with internal departments and international teams where required
  • Research technical tax matters and contribute to problem-solving on client work
  • Participate in internal training and support wider team development initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • Strong experience within personal tax compliance, with some review exposure
  • CTA qualified or nearing completion would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members
  • Exposure to international tax matters, residency issues or double tax treaties would be beneficial
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress towards Manager level
