Job Title: Trust Senior / Assistant Manager

Location: London Office, EC3V

Salary: Up to £60,000!

Key Responsibilities -

Trust Management & Administration:

  • Prepare annual trust accounts with precision and attention to detail
  • Complete self-assessment tax returns for family trusts
  • Maintain day-to-day trust record keeping and support trust administration
  • Calculate tax liabilities and provide guidance on self-assessment payments
  • Manage correspondence with clients, beneficiaries, and HMRC

Client Portfolio & Development:

  • Take ownership of your own portfolio of clients for annual compliance work
  • Assist managers with routine trust planning, including loss utilisation and beneficiary distributions
  • Mentor and train apprentices, contributing to team development
  • Handle charitable trust work (experience advantageous)

What I'm Looking For -

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years minimum experience in private client department (accountancy or legal practice)
  • Trust accounting and administration experience preferred
  • Qualified or studying towards ACCA, CTA, or STEP
  • Experience with charitable trusts, probate work, estate accounts, and personal tax is advantageous but not essential

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of CCH Trust Accounts and CCH Personal Tax preferred (full training provided)
  • Experience with CCH Practice Management System
  • Excellent IT skills with adaptability to digital transformation

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing reliable, high-standard work
  • Excellent organisational skills with accurate timesheet recording
  • Proactive approach with initiative to identify and resolve potential issues
  • Motivated, resilient, and positive outlook with eagerness to learn and develop
