What You'll Be Doing:
As Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you'll handle both compliance and advisory work, including:
Core Responsibilities:
- Preparing and submitting Corporation Tax computations and CT600s
- Managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring timely HMRC submissions
- Handling client tax queries and HMRC correspondence
- Providing routine tax advisory services under senior guidance
- Calculating tax liabilities and advising clients on obligations
- Attending client meetings and preparing comprehensive meeting notes
- Supporting business development activities
Growth Opportunities:
- Develop specialisms in insolvencies, academies, or not-for-profit sectors
- Delegate and review work of junior team members
- Take on increasing responsibility for client relationships
What I'm Looking For -
Essential:
- Currently working towards ACA/CTA qualifications
- Strong technical tax knowledge with ability to apply practical solutions
- Proactive approach to staying current with legislative changes
- Excellent IT skills and attention to detail
- Experience in client management and business development
Desirable:
- Experience in specialist sectors (insolvencies/academies/not-for-profit)
- Proven track record in team leadership and work delegation
