The Role: Where Technical Insight Meets Business Impact:
As an R&D Tax Consultant, you will be at the forefront of helping innovative businesses unlock valuable tax relief through the UK's R&D Tax Credit scheme. This is a role where your technical background truly matters - you'll apply your specialized knowledge to identify and articulate the innovative work our clients are doing across various sectors.
You'll build relationships with forward-thinking businesses, meeting face-to-face with senior decision-makers to identify eligible R&D activity. Every day brings new technical challenges and innovations to explore, making this an intellectually stimulating position perfect for those who thrive on variety and continuous learning.
Day-to-Day Impact:
- Meeting with innovative clients across diverse sectors to uncover their R&D activities
- Building relationships with senior stakeholders including business owners, MDs, and Technical Directors
- Applying your technical expertise to identify qualifying R&D projects
- Collaborating with our specialist Technical Writing Team to craft compelling HMRC submissions
- Managing the full R&D claim journey, becoming a trusted advisor to your clients
- Working alongside our Accounts Team to translate complex technical concepts into financially quantifiable claims
- Staying at the cutting edge of R&D tax legislation and HMRC guidance
The Ideal R&D Specialist:
- Previous experience with R&D Tax Credits or a strong technical background ready to be applied in this field
- A degree or background in science, engineering, or technology fields
- Experience crafting technical narratives that explain complex innovations clearly
- The confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and build lasting relationships
- A naturally curious mind that enjoys understanding how things work
- Strong project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- A full UK driving license for client visits
