Are you a technically strong tax professional with experience in complex corporate transactions and a passion for advisory work? Our client, a leading accountancy and advisory firm based in Bristol, is seeking an experienced Transaction Tax Manager to join their dynamic and growing team.
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to step into a high-profile position, advising on technically challenging portfolios and working closely with directors and partners on structuring, M&A, and cross-border transactions.
About the Role - Transaction Tax Manager (Bristol)
Based in the firm's Bristol office, the Transaction Tax Manager will focus on delivering high-level tax advisory services on a range of corporate and shareholder transactions. The role includes significant client-facing responsibilities and involvement in strategic decision-making, with scope to shape how deals are structured from a tax perspective.
You'll work with a diverse client base across private equity, entrepreneurial businesses, and listed companies, providing both proactive advice and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on corporate reorganisations, M&A, demergers, buyouts, and funding structures
Lead on technical tax due diligence and tax structuring projects
Liaise directly with clients, lawyers, and other advisors to drive complex transactions forward
Mentor junior staff and contribute to the wider business development and growth of the tax advisory practice
Provide written tax advice and reports to clients with a high level of technical accuracy and clarity
Stay on top of tax legislative developments and market trends relevant to transactional tax
What We're Looking For:
Qualified CTA and/or ACA/ACCA with at least 4-6 years of corporate or transaction tax experience
Proven background in advising on complex tax matters related to deals, structuring, and transactions
Excellent technical writing and client communication skills
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work under pressure in a deal-driven environment
Based in or near Bristol, or open to relocating to work with one of the most highly regarded advisory teams in the region
