I am looking for a talented VAT Assistant Manager to join my client in their dynamic and award-winning corporate tax team. This isn't just another VAT position - it's your gateway to working on cutting-edge advisory projects with diverse, high-profile clients.

Job Title: VAT Assistant Manager

Location: London Office, WC2B

Salary: Up to £55,000!

Your Responsibilities -

Strategic Advisory Leadership:

  • Deliver expert VAT and customs duty advisory services to new and existing clients
  • Provide VAT due diligence and structuring advice on complex transactions
  • Advise on cutting-edge VAT legislation developments and case law changes
  • Lead business development and proposal activities

Technical Excellence:

  • Conduct detailed technical research on complex indirect tax matters
  • Handle ad-hoc technical queries from compliance teams and other business areas
  • Support delivery of internal VAT technical training
  • Draft VAT-focused content for client alerts and press releases

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as primary contact for key client relationships
  • Work across diverse sectors with our broad client portfolio
  • Ensure all risk procedures are meticulously followed

The Individual -

Professional Qualifications:

  • CTA qualified or part-qualified (indirect tax route), OR
  • ATT qualified with commitment to pursue CTA qualification

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong background as VAT Associate or Senior Associate
  • Proven experience advising on wide range of VAT issues across multiple sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex queries and advisory projects
  • Excellent technical research and analytical capabilities
