Overview

I am partnering with a highly reputable and well-established accountancy firm based in Stanmore that is seeking a talented and experienced Private Tax Manager to join their growing team.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and trusts, providing both compliance and advisory services. This is a client-facing role that requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to nurture client relationships.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of private clients with a focus on personal tax compliance and planning.

  • Review and sign off on self-assessment tax returns.

  • Provide strategic tax planning advice across income tax, CGT, IHT, and trust matters.

  • Handle HMRC correspondence and resolve enquiries or investigations.

  • Mentor and supervise junior members of the tax team.

  • Contribute to internal technical training and business development efforts.



Candidate Profile

  • CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).

  • Strong experience in private client/personal tax within a UK accountancy practice.

  • Confident in managing a portfolio and delivering advisory work.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

  • Detail-oriented, technically strong, and commercially minded.
