Accounts Payable Officer
Salary: 28-30k pa
Contract Type: 6 month FTC
About the Role
Our client, a leading company in the Utilities and energy sector, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their dynamic Central Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across multiple companies within a growing group, managing purchase ledger operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices through modern accounting systems, ensuring accurate coding and authorisation
- Manage accounts payable processes across multiple entities within the group
- Handle staff expense processing and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain supplier relationships and resolve payment queries
- Prepare payment runs and manage banking platform transactions
- Conduct quarterly site visits to operational facilities
- Support bank reconciliation processes and portfolio-wide AP projects
- Collaborate with finance teams and site managers across the business
Essential Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in Accounts Payable/ Purchase Ledger role processing complex invoices
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications (particularly Excel) and ERP/accounting software
- Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, excellent communicator with strong time management skills
- Resilient, flexible approach with ability to work independently
- Locally based to Buntingford and open to the role on 3 day in office and 2 day work form home with access to your own vehicle.
