Position Overview


We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate with 3-5 years of public accounting experience to join our growing tax practice. This role offers the opportunity to prepare complex tax returns, provide client guidance, and mentor junior staff while advancing toward management-level positions.



Key Responsibilities



Tax Preparation & Compliance

  • Prepare complex individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
  • Handle multi-state tax compliance and research complex tax issues
  • Review tax returns prepared by junior staff members
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and professional guidelines
  • Calculate tax provisions for financial statements


Client Service

  • Serve as primary contact for assigned clients
  • Conduct client meetings and respond to tax-related inquiries
  • Develop tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
  • Provide guidance on business transactions and investment decisions
  • Coordinate with clients' other advisors as needed


Team Leadership

  • Mentor and train junior staff members
  • Lead project teams for client engagements
  • Participate in staff meetings and training programs
  • Assist with recruitment and business development activities


Required Qualifications



Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience with tax focus
  • CPA license preferred or actively pursuing certification
  • Experience with individual and business tax preparation


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with professional tax software (CCH Axcess, Lacerte, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills and tax research abilities
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: Standard business hours with extended hours during tax seasons (Jan-Apr, Sep-Oct)
