Audit Senior
We are seeking an Audit Senior with a strong interest in the not-for-profit sector to join a growing and dynamic audit team. This role offers the opportunity to manage meaningful audit engagements for charities, educational institutions, and other purpose-driven organisations, while developing your technical expertise and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Audit Engagements
Manage audits from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, FRS 102, Charity SORP, and ISA standards.Prepare & Review Accounts
Draft and review statutory financial statements for a variety of not-for-profit organisations, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.Client Engagement
Act as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and advising on audit, governance, and financial reporting matters.Team Supervision
Oversee and support junior team members, providing on-the-job training, mentoring, and performance feedback.Quality & Compliance
Ensure audit work meets high professional standards, managing budgets, timelines, and documentation.Practice Contribution
Contribute to the growth of the audit function by supporting business development initiatives, participating in sector events, and sharing technical insights.
About You
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3+ years' experience in audit
Demonstrated knowledge of not-for-profit audits, including Charity SORP and sector-specific reporting requirements
Strong technical, organisational, and analytical skills
Confident communicator with the ability to build positive client relationships
Experience supervising and developing junior staff
Proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated by delivering high-quality work
