Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Manage and grow an established book of business with high-net-worth individuals and families
- Develop comprehensive financial plans including retirement, estate, tax, and insurance planning
- Conduct regular client reviews and portfolio performance assessments
- Provide ongoing financial guidance and strategic advice as client circumstances evolve
- Maintain strong client retention through proactive communication and superior service delivery
Business Development
- Leverage existing client relationships to generate referrals and expand the practice
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets
- Develop strategic partnerships with centers of influence (CPAs, attorneys, estate planners)
- Participate in community events and networking activities to build brand presence
- Create and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients
Portfolio Management & Investment Advisory
- Design and implement customized investment strategies aligned with client goals and risk tolerance
- Monitor portfolio performance and make strategic adjustments as market conditions change
- Conduct investment research and due diligence on various asset classes and investment products
- Collaborate with investment committee on asset allocation and investment selection
- Ensure all investment recommendations are suitable and well-documented
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare detailed financial needs analyses and comprehensive financial plans
- Model various scenarios for retirement planning, education funding, and estate planning
- Coordinate with external professionals including tax advisors, estate attorneys, and insurance specialists
- Stay current with tax law changes, estate planning strategies, and regulatory developments
- Utilize advanced planning software and tools to deliver sophisticated solutions
Essential Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Advisor or Wealth Manager
- Series 7, Series 66 (or Series 65), and appropriate insurance licenses required
- CFP®, ChFC®, or similar advanced designation strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- Proven track record of managing client relationships and growing AUM
Portable Business
- Existing client relationships with potential to transition (asset minimums and transition support available)
- Demonstrated history of client retention and organic growth
- Strong referral network and centers of influence relationships
- Established reputation in the local market or specific niche
Core Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Proficiency with financial planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, etc.)

- Commitment to fiduciary standard and ethical practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients ($1M+ in investable assets)
- Specialty expertise in areas such as executive compensation, business succession, or tax planning
- Established book of business with $50M+ in AUM
