A well-established accountancy practice in Central London is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its audit and accounts team. The Audit Manager Role in London:
You will manage a portfolio of audit and accounts assignments, acting as the key contact for clients while reviewing the work of senior staff. The position involves leading teams, ensuring deadlines are met, and delivering high-quality outputs for partner review. You will also play an active role in coaching and appraising junior colleagues.
Responsibilities include:
Managing a varied client portfolio across different sectors
Overseeing audits from planning through to completion
Reviewing statutory accounts and audit files to a high standard
Acting as line manager to senior staff and providing feedback on performance
Supporting staff development through mentoring and appraisals
Liaising directly with clients and partners on technical and commercial matters
Monitoring budgets and ensuring timely delivery of assignments
The Candidate:
ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3 years' PQE
Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102, Companies Act and ISAs
Experience working with both UK and international clients
Proven ability to manage audits and lead teams effectively
Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
Competence with Excel and accounting software packages
