Job Title: Corporate Tax Assistant Manager (Manager grade also available dependent on experience)

Location: City of Bristol, BS1

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Benefits

The Role:

As a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you will join the Corporate & International team working across diverse clients and sectors. You'll blend corporate tax compliance and accounting with increasingly sophisticated advisory projects - exactly the mix needed to transition into full M&A tax work.

Your Work Will Include:

  • Corporate tax compliance and tax accounting (the foundation)
  • Corporate and shareholder reorganisations
  • Acquisition and sale structuring
  • Tax due diligence on live transactions
  • Demergers and corporate simplifications
  • Loss relief planning and group relief strategies
  • Corporate interest restriction calculations
  • CFC returns and international tax matters
  • Tax treatment of deal fees, exceptional items, and complex provisions
  • Corporate and deferred tax workings/disclosures (including consolidated groups)
  • Direct client and intermediary contact
  • Project management on advisory engagements
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities for other tax services

The Individual:

  • Minimum 3 years in a tax role with exposure to corporate tax advisory projects
  • ATT/CTA and/or ACA qualified
  • Strong corporate tax compliance and accounting knowledge
  • Hunger to develop M&A and transactional skills
  • Project management and client relationship skills
  • UK right to work
  • Alphatax experience preferred but not essential
  • Proactive mindset for business development
