About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Senior to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to take the next step in their audit career, working with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries.

As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in the planning, execution, and completion of audits, while also supporting the development of junior staff and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead audits from planning to completion for a variety of clients, including SMEs and larger corporations

• Manage on-site audit teams and supervise the work of junior staff

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and relevant regulatory frameworks

• Identify and communicate audit issues to clients and management

• Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure a high level of service delivery

• Assist with the development and training of junior audit staff

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the audit team

Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in audit within a UK practice environment

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines

• Experience with accounting software such as CaseWare, Sage, Xero or similar is desirable

• Must be eligible to work in the UK and willing to travel within Essex for client meetings
