We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing firm in Hoddesdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual who enjoys working with a diverse client portfolio while developing their leadership skills and progressing in their career.
As a Senior Accountant, you'll work closely with Assistant Managers, Managers, and Senior Managers, taking on responsibility for client work and providing guidance to junior team members. You'll be involved across a variety of accounting functions, ensuring clients receive exceptional service and compliance is maintained across all deliverables.

• 
  Prepare group consolidated financial statements and supporting workings for review.
• 
  Draft corporation tax returns and undertake initial reviews of tax computations prepared by juniors.
• 
  Review simple or non-complex VAT returns.
• 
  Liaise directly with clients, handling queries promptly and professionally.
• 
  Support and mentor junior staff in bookkeeping and accounts preparation.
• 
  Assist Directors and Managers with ad hoc and project-based assignments.
• 
  Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced team members on fundamental accounting concepts.

• 
  Solid IT and Microsoft Office skills.
• 
  Experience using CCH, Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero is preferred (training provided if required).
• 
  Nearing completion of, or fully qualified in, ACA/ACCA/AAT Level 4, or qualified by experience.
• 
  Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade 5 or above), including Maths and English.
• 
  A-Levels (or equivalent) are advantageous, particularly in Maths or English.
