Audit & Accounts Senior
Location: Croydon
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
The Role
A well-established Top 20 accountancy firm is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Audit & Accounts Senior to join their Croydon office. This opportunity sits within a supportive and dynamic team environment, offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of corporate and not-for-profit clients.
You'll have responsibility for managing smaller audit assignments independently while supporting partners on larger engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional looking to broaden their experience in both audit and accounts while mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or assist on statutory audits across varied sectors.
Prepare financial statements under UK GAAP and FRS 102 for both audit and non-audit clients.
Supervise, coach, and review work prepared by junior staff.
Manage smaller assignments and liaise directly with clients and partners.
Handle client queries and ensure delivery of excellent service.
Contribute to the continuous development of best practices within the team.
About You
ACA or ACCA qualified.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in practice.
Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Confident working independently and as part of a collaborative audit team.
Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
