Audit Associate Director
We are seeking an experienced Audit Associate Director to join an established accountancy practice in City of London. This is an exceptional opportunity for a current Responsible Individual or experienced Senior Manager/Director to lead audit delivery and progress toward partnership while earning £90,000 - £102,000.
About the Role
This Audit Associate Director position in City of London is ideal for someone who is either a current RI or on track to attain RI status. With a salary of £90,000 - £102,000, you'll lead the audit function, manage a substantial client portfolio, and contribute to strategic growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and oversee audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Manage a substantial portfolio including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and group accounts
- Act as trusted advisor and key client contact, building strong relationships
- Review audit files to ensure compliance with auditing standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop the audit team
- Work closely with Partners to set and deliver departmental strategy
- Identify business development opportunities and win new work
- Provide technical expertise on complex audit matters
- Implement improvements to audit processes and team performance
About You
You're a commercially astute audit professional with extensive practice experience and proven leadership skills. You're a strategic thinker with ambition to progress to partnership and a genuine desire to lead change and develop others.
What We're Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified with extensive audit experience in practice
- Current RI status or on track to attain RI in the near future
- Experience in an independent or mid-tier firm
- Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards (UK GAAP, FRS 102, FRS 101)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Commercially minded with business development experience
- Exposure to accounts and tax work
