We're partnering with a highly-regarded, growing manufacturing and production organisation in Milton Keynes to find an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant for a permanent role. What You'll Be Doing
- Drive daily performance visibility - Prepare and circulate sales flash reports that inform key business decisions
- Own critical reporting processes - Produce breakages analysis, identify trends, and present variance insights to senior stakeholders and operations teams
- Ensure revenue accuracy - Generate mid-month and month-end customer invoices with precise revenue recognition
- Support financial operations - Process foreign currency invoices with full compliance, assist with royalty calculations, stock take prep, and variance analysis
- Contribute to month-end excellence - Post journals, validate invoices, maintain supporting schedules, and help deliver timely management accounts
What We're Looking For
You'll have learned finance from the ground up and have hands-on experience across transactional finance and month-end close:
- Strong financial reporting capability - Comfortable producing accurate, insightful management information
- Advanced Excel proficiency - VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, and data manipulation are second nature to you
- Power BI experience - Able to build or work with dashboards and translate data into visual insights (highly desirable)
- Month-end confidence - Experienced in journal posting, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
- Commercial awareness - You understand the 'why' behind the numbers and can communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Proactive and detail-oriented - You spot issues before they become problems and take ownership of your work
- Part-qualified or studying - Working towards ACCA, CIMA, or qualified by experience (QBE)
