Corporate Tax Senior - Harrogate, North Yorkshire

A well-established accounting firm in Harrogate is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior to join their growing tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to develop their corporate tax expertise while working with a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.

About the Role:
Working within a supportive and collaborative team environment, you'll take responsibility for managing your own portfolio of corporate tax clients while assisting with more complex matters. The role combines technical tax work with client relationship management, offering genuine progression opportunities within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for a varied client base
• Assist with the preparation of tax reconciliations and deferred tax calculations for statutory accounts
• Calculate quarterly instalment payments and manage payment deadlines
• Support on R&D tax credit claims and employee share scheme reporting
• Respond to client queries and provide practical tax advice
• Liaise with HMRC on routine correspondence and queries
• Review work prepared by junior team members
• Maintain accurate time records and assist with billing processes
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication

What We're Looking For:

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or part-qualified with relevant corporate tax experience
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax
• Experience working in an accountancy practice environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
