A well-established, international organisation operating in the Retail/ consumer goods space is looking to appoint a Global Order to Cash Director into a senior finance operations role with real authority. This is a seat at the table role, not a steering committee observer position.

The business runs complex, high-volume transactions across multiple regions and wants someone who can bring order, consistency and long-term thinking to an area that quietly keeps the whole show running. The role in context

As Global Order to Cash Director, you will own the end-to-end Order to Cash operating model globally. The brief is simple on paper and hard in reality: create a clear, scalable standard that works across regions, systems and cultures, while still keeping the business moving.

This is not a maintenance job. You will be defining a multi-year transformation roadmap, setting global policies, driving automation and holding teams to account on controls, data quality and performance. The organisation sits within the consumer goods sector, so pace, volume and customer experience all matter, not just compliance.

What you'll be doing day to day

Setting and delivering a 3-5 year global Order to Cash transformation roadmap
Standardising processes, data definitions, controls and reporting across regions
Leading global process design, governance and policy development
Running internal and external benchmarking to identify best practice
Partnering closely with regional finance leaders, tax, legal and technology teams
Overseeing the delivery of technology-enabled process improvements
Building a strong global network to share capability and embed change
Developing skills, training and future leaders within the function
