The Opportunity


We're seeking an exceptional Finance Shared Service Manager to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a critical leadership role where you'll oversee daily financial operations, champion process improvements, and uphold excellence in accuracy and compliance across the finance function.
As Finance shared service Manager, you'll ensure smooth transactional processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Procurement for the entire group. Leading a high-performing team, you'll drive operational efficiency, maintain robust internal controls, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.



What you'll do as a Financial Shared Service Manager


Accounts Payable Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and develop the AP team
  • Oversee accurate and timely invoice processing and vendor payments
  • Ensure company payment card transactions comply with expenses policy
  • Build strong vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies swiftly
  • Produce AP reports for senior management
  • Establish and refine AP policies and procedures
  • Manage payment cycles effectively


Accounts Receivable Excellence

  • Lead, manage, and train the AR team
  • Ensure prompt, accurate invoicing and implement effective collection strategies
  • Monitor aged debtors and collaborate with stakeholders on recovery
  • Produce and distribute bi-weekly debt reports across the group
  • Resolve payment delays and issues
  • Oversee bank reconciliation and reporting
  • Assess new client creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits
  • Identify and escalate bad debt risks to the Group Finance Director


Team Leadership

  • Mentor and develop your finance operations team
  • Foster a performance-driven culture with clear objectives
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across functions
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities


What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record managing AP and AR functions
  • Strong experience leading, training, and developing finance teams
  • Demonstrated success implementing finance process improvements and controls
  • Familiarity with ERP or finance systems (Xpedeon or similar)
  • Experience preparing management reports and financial analyses
  • Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • Solid understanding of credit risk, debt collection, and cash flow management
  • Confident communicator at all levels
