A well-established and rapidly growing independent UK accountancy firm is seeking a Partner (or an experienced Director ready to step up) to take ownership of a significant client portfolio and play a key role in shaping the firm's strategic growth.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven accountant who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service, developing high-performing teams, and leading innovative change within a forward-thinking professional services environment.

The Partner Opportunity in Wiltshire

You will lead a broad portfolio of SME and technically complex clients, acting as their trusted business adviser while driving new business development and strengthening the firm's presence across the region. You will also contribute to the wider leadership of the firm, supporting its continued expansion and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of a diverse client portfolio, delivering high-quality accounts, tax and advisory services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional networks, identifying opportunities for further growth.
Drive business development initiatives, including winning new work and promoting cross-service collaboration.
Lead and inspire teams, mentoring senior managers and developing the next generation of leaders.
Ensure work is delivered efficiently and profitably, maintaining strong control over WIP, debtors and risk exposure.
Implement and encourage the use of digital and innovative tools to improve service delivery and client outcomes.
Hold sign-off authority for routine accounts, tax returns, engagement letters and general advisory work.

About You

ACA or ACCA qualified with extensive senior-level experience in UK accountancy practice.
Demonstrable track record of managing and growing a client portfolio exceeding £500k+.
Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to drive business growth and profitability.
Experienced people leader, confident in developing, motivating and mentoring teams.
Strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience within a medium-sized or matrix-structured firm is advantageous.
