A well-established firm within the accountancy sector is looking to strengthen its private client team with the addition of an experienced Private Client Tax Senior. This is a role aimed at someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, handling high-quality work and developing their advisory skills without being buried in process-heavy compliance.
The position is based in London with a genuinely flexible hybrid working model and exposure to a broad portfolio of HNW individuals, entrepreneurs, trusts and partnerships.
The opportunity
This Private Client Tax Senior role offers a balanced mix of personal tax compliance and advisory work, with increasing involvement in planning-led projects. You'll manage your own client relationships while being supported by senior colleagues on more complex matters, making it a strong platform for progression to Assistant Manager or Manager level.
What you'll be doing
- Managing a portfolio of private clients as a trusted point of contact
- Delivering personal tax compliance and advisory work across Income Tax, CGT and IHT
- Supporting tax planning assignments and more complex private client matters
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and offering practical guidance
- Building strong, long-term client relationships based on quality advice
- Working closely with senior colleagues across the wider private client team
What we're looking for
- ATT, CTA or ACA qualified, or actively studying towards ATT or CTA
- Experience in UK private client tax gained within an accountancy practice
- Solid technical foundations with a commercial, client-focused mindset
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Someone comfortable balancing autonomy with collaboration
