Are you an experienced Tax Disputes Manager looking for your next opportunity in England? The Role
As a Tax Disputes Manager, you'll play a key role in managing client relationships and resolving complex tax disputes with HMRC. Depending on the firm, responsibilities may include:
Managing a portfolio of tax enquiries and dispute cases from inception through to resolution.
Advising clients on HMRC enquiries, disclosures, and investigations.
Leading and supporting COP8 and COP9 cases.
Developing strategies to resolve complex disputes and negotiating with HMRC.
Supporting Partners and Directors on technical matters and business development initiatives.
Coaching and mentoring junior team members.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
Strong experience in Tax Disputes, Investigations, or HMRC enquiries.
Proven expertise managing COP8 and COP9 cases.
Excellent knowledge of UK tax legislation and HMRC enquiry processes.
Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
A professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA, ATT, or equivalent (preferred).
Previous HMRC operational enquiry experience is highly desirable, particularly within compliance, investigations, or teams managing COP8 and COP9 cases.
